About

I LOVE JEWELRY! And I believe most women and some men do also.

As I child I spent a great deal of time in my godparents jewelry store. When I would arrive, I was given a box of rings to play with, so how could I have ever turned out to NOT love jewelry. As time went by, I collected beads and stones from various places. We were campers and went to the “Rock Hound” shows in the southern US where I would use my allowance to purchase whatever shiny stone caught my eye. I have even searched through friends planters and found Indian beads. I was always picking up rocks wherever I went (much to my husbands dismay). I just loved the energy I felt in them.

Unfortunately, my godfather passed away when I was in my early teens and there went my immediate entrée into the back room of a jewelry store. However, my love of jewelry continued and in the late 80’s I took classes to learn to make the watercolor paper jewelry so popular at that time. Then I began to paint on tee shirts and found that I really loved painting on fabric. That fashion style passed and I became more interested in fiber art and began quilting with my grandmother, along with knitting, which I had done since the age of five. I taught myself to crochet and learned to tat from an aunt. However, I always prowled the jewelry stores and bead store, sometimes just running my fingers through the beads just “petting” them.

Still I was not making anything just collecting. In the early 90’s we moved back to California and at lunch one day I came across a bead store and signed up for a couple of classes…..I was hooked! As I learned to use the tools, I discovered that I really loved to work with silver and beautiful beads to create jewelry to go with my clothing. People began to notice and ask me to make them items for particular outfits also. I loved it!

Collecting stones and beads was a passion that grew to a point where my husband let me know that if I continued to buy, I would HAVE to get serious and SELL. So, here I am with my first website, courtesy of my techie husband, ready to show and sell my babies.

Most of what I do is one of a kind because I really don’t enjoy production, I enjoy creating, so if you see something you like that may be the only one that I ever make. Although the chain maille and byzantine bracelets and necklaces are items that I do make by special order.

Please enjoy and feel free to email me with special requests.
